Poly Drug use-
Poly Drug use means using two or more drugs in together. It also means to use a drug to stop the effects of another or using different drugs over a short time.
Poly drug use can be very dangerous. If two of the same drugs were taking together it would increase the risks of accidents, overdoes and death. Some examples of the two same drugs used is heroin with alcohol, cannabis with alcohol, ecstasy with alcohol, heroin with sedatives and amphetamines with sedatives, all of these are extremely dangerous when taken together.
It is very important not to mix drugs. It is common for people to do poly-drug use because they have often has alcohol when they are taking the other drug.
Illicit Drug Use-
At any age it is illegal to use illicit drugs. The consequences of using illicit drugs can be arrested, charges or imprisonment. Illicit drug use happens anywhere including parties, nightclubs, raves, pubs, restaurants, cafes.
Risks with illicit drug use:
• Violent and disruptive behaviour
• Injured
• Overdose
• Illegal activity including sale and use of drugs
